5th Next-Gen Mentoring Workshop: How Is AI Opening Air Quality Data to Citizens?

NextAire Workshops (10)

The NextAIRE project is pleased to invite you to the 5th workshop of the Next-Gen Mentoring series, entitled:

“How Is AI Opening Air Quality Data to Citizens?”

The online session will take place on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, at 11:00 CEST, featuring Miguel Escribano from inBiot, a NextAIRE stakeholder.

Air quality sensors generate large amounts of environmental data, but a sensor reading alone does not necessarily provide information that people can easily understand or act upon.

This workshop will explore how Artificial Intelligence can transform indoor and outdoor air quality data into clear, actionable insights, making environmental information more accessible to citizens, teachers, researchers and policymakers — without requiring them to be data scientists.

During the session, participants will explore:

  • why a sensor number is not yet information, and how it can be transformed into intelligence and decisions;
  • how AI can make air quality data accessible to non-experts;
  • situational intelligence combining indoor air, outdoor context and practical next steps;
  • Anne, inBiot’s virtual Indoor Air Quality consultant;
  • examples from inBiot’s work in European projects.

Following the workshop, participants who already use Claude, Codex, Cursor or similar AI assistants will also receive access to a practical drop-in skill designed to transform real environmental signals, such as local weather or air quality readings, into plain-language guidance supported by a small knowledge base.
