Synergies

The MI-TRAP project focuses on improving our understanding of transport-related air pollution and its impact on human health and the environment. It addresses both exhaust and emerging sources, such as non-exhaust emissions and microplastics, by studying how pollutants evolve from emission to the ambient environment. Through advanced monitoring technologies and data analysis, MI-TRAP aims to enhance current air quality measurement systems. A network of monitoring stations across European cities will provide real-world data from emission hotspots. The project also promotes citizen science and nature-based solutions, supporting more effective policies aligned with the EU Zero Pollution goals.

The EDIAQI project focuses on improving indoor air quality (IAQ), an emerging health challenge affecting people who spend most of their time indoors. It investigates sources, exposure routes, and health impacts of indoor air pollution, including chemical, biological, and emerging pollutants. Through user-friendly and cost-effective monitoring solutions, EDIAQI aims to generate new knowledge and improve current IAQ assessment approaches. The project combines advanced data analysis, modelling, and large-scale monitoring across Europe. It also supports policymakers by providing evidence for better regulations and guidelines. Ultimately, EDIAQI contributes to healthier indoor environments and the EU Zero Pollution goals.
