We are pleased to announce the publication of a new scientific article related to the NextAIRE project.
The paper, titled “Seasonal and Regional Variations in CO₂ Concentrations: A Large-Scale Sensor-Based Study from Croatian Schools Using Machine Learning”, has been published in the journal Atmosphere (MDPI).
The study analyses indoor CO₂ concentration data collected from hundreds of low-cost sensors installed in 243 schools across Croatia. It investigates seasonal and regional variations in classroom air quality and applies data-driven methods to identify key environmental and temporal factors influencing indoor CO₂ levels. The results contribute to evidence-based approaches for large-scale air quality monitoring and support the objectives of the NextAIRE project in advancing sensor-based and AI-supported air quality assessment.
