Date: 7 July 2026 | Time: 13:00 – 15:00 CET | Location: Online
Speaker: Mario Dudjak, Asst. Prof. FERIT Osijek

Description:

We are pleased to invite you to the third workshop in our Scientific Data Manipulation series, organized as part of the NextAIRE project [HORIZON-WIDERA].

This hands-on session with Dr. Mario Dudjak focuses on essential coding skills for working with time-series scientific data, specifically in air quality research.

Workshop Agenda:

  • Outlier Detection: Learn to detect and interpret outliers using visual inspection, z-score logic, and the IQR rule.
  • Time-Stamped Data: Convert timestamps, set datetime indices, filter by time, and sort data chronologically.
  • Time-Series Processing: Resample, align, join, and interpolate measurements from multiple scientific data sources.
  • Scientific Visualization: Create and interpret line plots, bar plots, histograms, boxplots, scatter plots, and heatmaps.

Target Audience:
This workshop is designed for researchers, PhD and MSc students, data scientists, and engineers working with environmental and air quality datasets.

Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of Python and Pandas is required.

Previous Sessions:
Participants are encouraged to watch the recordings of Part 1 and Part 2 before attending:
